Work place: Alberta, Canada. Job description: Determine layout requirements; cut openings for pipes in walls, ceilings or floors; select type and size of pipe; measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size; weld, braze, cement or solder pipes and joints; test system for leaks; remove and replace defective components; install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping and sprinkling systems; connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment; rig material and equipment; start up and reactivate systems; troubleshoot systems. Major work area: construction, maintenance. Requirements: Education: Completion of high school, completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training. Credentials: Steamfitter - Pipefitter Trade Certification, Steamfitter - Pipefitter Red Seal Certificate, Driver's License, Experience: 2-5 years. Essential skills: reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, continuous learning. Language: English: reading, writing, speaking. We offer: Terms of employment: full time / shift. Salary: $23-$45 hourly, depending on experience and education.
