Barclays moves, lends, invests and protects money for customers and clients worldwide.Currently we are looking for a smart, motivated, technically minded Security Tester to join our expanding penetration testing team.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" class="jobadPosition" align="left">SECURITY TESTER</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" class="jobadDescription" itemprop="description">Your responsibilities will be:<ul> <li>Conduct effective security testing with the use of automated/semi-automated toolsets (for example Nessus, WebInspect).</li> <li>Conduct manual penetration testing with the support of the penetration testers within the team.</li> <li>Ensure testing is delivered (either remotely or on-site) in line with the current service offerings.</li> <li>Work within virtual teams of security and technical specialists to ensure quality delivery of leading solutions to our internal clients.</li> <li>Provide reports which highlight and clearly articulate vulnerabilities and weaknesses to clients in terms they understand.</li></ul><ul> <li>Maintain skills with which to conduct security testing using automated toolsets and develop relevant skills with which to conduct manual penetration testing in one or more of the following domains: Infrastructure, Application, Mobile (iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry), Wireless and etc.</li></ul><ul> <li>To provide technical advice and guidance on IT security related queries to both Project and &ldquo;BAU run&rdquo; areas as and when required.</li></ul>We expect you possess: <ul> <li>Good grounding in automated/semi-automated security testing toolsets.</li> <li>Good knowledge of IT and Security principles.</li> <li>Keen to develop security testing expertise across a number of areas.</li> <li>Have good time management and organizational skills to manage workload.</li> <li>Show a willingness to learn and understand the business context/significance of technical security test findings</li></ul><ul> <li>Some understanding of manual penetration testing techniques and manual false positive validation.</li> <li>Some knowledge of information security frameworks and standards such as ISO17799/27001 and their application into diverse environments</li> <li>Good understanding of the security mechanisms associated with some of the following; Windows or Unix operating systems, mobile devices, switched networks, web based applications and databases.</li></ul>If it sounds like you, please click the link to apply:<a href="https://barclays.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl?lang=en_gb&amp;job=90043272&amp;src=JB-12040">https://barclays.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl?lang=en_gb&amp;job=90043272&amp;src=JB-12040</a>Barclays Values and Diversity Our common purpose is to help people achieve their ambitions &ndash; in the right way.
