Barclays moves, lends, invests and protects money for customers and clients worldwide.</p><p>Currently we are expanding and looking for<strong> Lead Security Consultant</strong> to join Global Information Security team.</p><p>Global Information Security (GIS) engages in a range of activities to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Barclays information assets and to assist Information Technology teams to deliver secure solutions to the business.</p></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" class="jobadPosition" align="left"><b itemprop="title">LEAD SECURITY CONSULTANT</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" class="jobadDescription" itemprop="description"><p><strong>As Lead Security Consultant your responsibilities would include:</strong></p><ul> <li>Identify, plan, coordinate and supervise the delivery of security assessments and other security services required.</li> <li>Manage a virtual team/other resources on a project by project basis as required.</li> <li>Provide security consultancy to ensure new projects and services are deployed in a manner that ensures adoption of the relevant security strategy, designs, standards, controls and tools.</li> <li>Accountable for representing GIS in cross-functional change programmes and business area meetings to ensure that information security considerations are included and considered and informed decisions are made to achieve agreed outcomes.</li> <li>A high contributor in designing IT security solutions according to business and architectural requirements and standards.</li> <li>Assist Risk Owners to accurately assess the likelihood and impact of technical vulnerabilities.</li> <li>Collaborate with senior and Executive peers across all global IT functions to ensure build and maintenance of effective IT Security solutions and controls.</li> <li>Manage congruent relationships among the different development teams; work in partnership with business stakeholders to agree mutual priorities (between business and technology teams), and improvement opportunities which will deliver value.</li> <li>To provide technical advice and guidance on IT security related queries to both project and run areas as and when required.</li> <li>To produce due diligence reports to be used in the creation of action plans to guide any remedial actions needed.</li> <li>Leading in the negotiation phases of contract development with 3rd parties in relation to identifying and agreeing security requirements.</li> <li>To lead, from an IT security perspective, the supplier assessment process used in order to ensure that a suppliers capability to support services to an agreed level/standard is accurately assessed and reported.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>We expect you to possess:</strong></p><ul> <li>Broad IT Security management expertise coupled with good understanding of financial services.</li> <li>Knowledge in multiple information security technologies and their strengths and shortcomings.</li> <li>Proven experience with securing information for cross-functional, cross-platform applications.</li> <li>Understands different project methodologies, project lifecycles, major phases, dependencies and milestones within a project.</li> <li>Deliver results which add value to the business stakeholders through strategic decision-making and improving Security Solutions profiles through processes or technology.</li> <li>Experienced at implementing or managing risk management processes and tools.</li> <li>Understands security controls from a people, process and technology perspective.</li> <li>Familiar with integration and implementation issues and their security implications.</li> <li>Ability to influence outcomes and strategy amongst stakeholders, including senior Executives.</li> <li>Fluency in English.</li></ul><p> </p><p><em>If it sounds like you, please click the link to apply:</em></p><p><a href="https://barclays.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl?lang=en_gb&job=00229729&src=JB-12040">https://barclays.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl?lang=en_gb&job=00229729&src=JB-12040</a></p><p> </p><p><strong>Barclays Values and Diversity </strong></p><p>Our common purpose is to help people achieve their ambitions – in the right way.
