We are a high performing team of recruitment experts from various different industries.

Danske Bank Group IT Lithuania (DGITL) is a part of an organization, which delivers world-class digital financial solutions to customers. DGITL is newly established IT site operating from the end of 2014 but it is already the fastest growing IT organization in Lithuanian market. We have an understanding that the current change is Technology-driven, and we prioritize IT as a key component for success in our journey to drive digital disruption in the bank. DGITL teams work with complex tech challenges and develop Danske Bank’s global competitive edge on innovative digital solutions. Teams are driven by job content, share ownership of strategic services, own service strategy and lead improvement. One more important feature – senior leadership is present on site.

Database Developer/DBA (Mobile Life)

Job information

Would you like to be a part of a start-up team within a bank?

Before you say that start-ups and banks do not happen together – challenge us to prove otherwise. In return, we will challenge you to join the disruptive nature of Mobile Life in Lithuania.

The Team

Mobile Life is a bi-model organisation, sponsored by Danske Bank however well outside the typical banking structure. It is a development house with a purpose to disrupt traditional banking and deliver innovative IT solutions directly to customers. The idea is that in all likelihood banking, as we know it will not exist in 10 years. Hence, Mobile Life is relatively small, super agile, “no-titles” team working to discover new ways banks can relate to their customers.

We work with some of the most innovative and advanced technologies. Organised in small teams with full-stack developers in very close contact with our direct business reference. We are 90 dedicated people based in Copenhagen, now extending into Vilnius.

The Mindset

Becoming part of our team is a unique opportunity to work in a set-up characterised by start-up culture, high pace and flat hierarchy and with an overarching customer-focused approach. We expect you together with us, to continue to build an organisation where the borders are invisible, and the differences are a strength.

You will definitely fit the team if you think of yourself as self-driven and proactive and you never settle for less than a perfect solution.

The Projects

We are not a traditional organisation in the sense of having a clear roadmap and hence the team will not be a traditional development team with a defined system to own. We will go and revolutionise any banking area wherever the customers take us. We have started with Sunday.dk, which serves as entry portal for current and future services.

Currently, we are able to collect more data than we can chew. Meaning that, developers could easily stall every button click, Data Scientists would easily analyse it, and Product Owners would do conclusions on how to move forward with customer conversion rate. However, the most important part of the puzzle – “that the DBA guy” is missing. We WANT you, to help fix us that. You would work independently as you will:

Gather the requirements from Product Owners, Developers and Data Scientists;

Communicate with CTO to be in a line with our current choices, but that is really flexible, as we would trust you to know THE BEST solution;

You will work iteratively, as creating MVP and then you will be looking what works and what not;

You will coach Developers and Data Scientists regarding the DB you have already created.

Requirements

You have experience with 3 out of four, as we have all of them on our technology stack:

Postgres

MS SQL

Hadoop

MongoDB

We are expecting you to have a somewhat broad overview of these databases, as you would be the one suggesting us which to choose in order to implement our common requirements.

Big Data experience: we want you to be a part of at least one project, where a big data approach was used – whether it will be ETL, whether constant sparring with Data Scientists and so on.

You have already done something from the scratch: we do not want you to be “I have found this the way it is, and then I just augmented it”. We want you to be able to say proudly “I have done this from the scratch, and that’s why we should not do it again”.

We expect you to have a DevOps mindset – meaning that when you see a bad techy stuff, you fix it (but not hide it!).

Amazon cloud: most of our feature-based stuff is deployed in the Amazon cloud. It would be great if you have some knowledge about that as well.

Since we both understand that this DBA stuff would take your full FTE only in the first few months, we would want you to have a broader scope of competences or willingness to develop these:

DevOps: we have two guys, and they want a new teammate.

Software engineering: our constantly growing team would gladly welcome a guy with a knowledge (or willingness to gain it) for:

C#;

JS;

DevOps;

Test automation.

Company offers

Unique in an organisation: you will be able to say, “I am the guy, who masterminded this incredibly important DB”.

You will be a leader without being told so (or assigned that formally): you will have to speak up to be heard. In addition, you will have to listen to understand.

Importance: Developers, Data Scientists, Product Owners and most importantly – users themselves will be the ones that your solutions impact.

Entrepreneurship: we do not expect you to expect tasks from us. We expect you being the one suggesting things.

Working time Full-time work

Location Vilnius

Contact information:

Contact person Simona Černeckytė, IT Recruitment Consultant

E-mail sc@afr.lt

Address Mėnulio st. 7

Telephone +370 645 65765

Prašytume nurodyti skelbimo numerį, kai kreipiates!
CVO-3110024-LT
